Serving the Cambridgeshire and East Anglia Area I live near Ely in Cambridgeshire and am happy to travel to most of East Anglia for consultations and/or training.
Training Services Practical advice and demonstrations in: - Loose leash walking - Clicker Training - Social Walking: helping fearful, stressy or aggressive dogs (in small groups and in pairs) get used to other dogs in a low stress environment. - Coping Strategies for Fearful or Aggressive Dogs - Coping Strategies for Multi-dog Households - Puppy socialisation and training: gentle, fun and stress-free NB. Please remember that your puppy goes through a series of fearful periods as he grows up and it is best not to start any new activities during this time, especially group training sessions or puppy classes. Just let him be and don't react to anything he reacts to and 9 times out of 10 he'll be fine again in a short time. Fearful periods for puppies are: around 8 to 10 weeks of age, around 16 to 20 weeks of age, approximately around 6 months of age, around 10 months of age, and finally it returns around 14 to 18 months. Remember this is all normal. But it is vital that you don't mock, get angry with or comfort the puppy when it reacts to events or things during these periods.
